This work was a playful photographic typology, inspired works such as John Cyr’s Developer Trays (2010) and Simone Rosenbauer’s Like Ice in the Sunshine (2014) series.

In most tabletop roleplaying games, rolling a 1 is the worst possible outcome. The symbolism of this catastrophic roll paired against bright, colourful backgrounds (as well as the colourful nature of the dice themselves) is a reminder to always find the silver lining in bleak situations.
