This work was an experimental piece brought about from trying out techniques that were new to me. I applied black ink to a rubber paint roller and pressed it 0nto an A4 sheet of parchment paper multiple times.

Between each application, I moved about pieces of cut up paper to prevent the ink from hitting specific portions of the sheet. Over the course of numerous rolls, I built up a sense of three-dimensional depth to the shapes that began to emerge.
