Jordan McDonald was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the oldest of three daughters in a close knit family. Her athletic career began early with competitive gymnastics and she also surfed competitively during her college years. Jordan graduated from Coastal Carolina University with Honors and initially was on track to attend law school. She began working full time at The South Carolina Environmental Law Project (SCELP) a nonprofit law firm that worked to protect the state’s natural environment & for some time believed she would become an environmental attorney like those she worked with at SCELP.

Jordan began training Muay Thai recreationally in 2007. Muay Thai led to JiuJitsu training which ultimately led Jordan to her first MMA fight in April 2009. In 2010 Jordan was faced with the decision to begin law school and allow her martial arts career to take a back seat or to focus on her less conventional aspirations of being a champion MMA fighter.

Against what most thought was her better judgment, Jordan decided to forgo law school and focus instead on fighting. She moved to Las Vegas, NV in April of 2011 and has been there training, fighting and modeling ever since.

Jordan currently lives in Las Vegas, NV and trains out of Drysdale JiuJitsu and Xtreme Couture MMA with Robert Drysdale as her head coach.
